Welcome to Laura's Engelbert Humperdinck Fan Page!
A loving tribute
to the man known as Engelbert, Enge, EH—and most fittingly, The King of Romance.
Arnold George Dorsey in Madras, British India, on 2 May 1936, Engelbert Humperdinck recorded his first single for Decca in 1958. After a bout with tuberculosis in the early 1960s, Humperdinck returned to singing
and eventually joined forces with music-industry manager Gordon Mills. At Mills's suggestion, the singer adopted the nom
de plume (or, I should say, nom de chanson — is that a proper term?) by which he is best known. Soon after,
the newly christened Engelbert Humperdinck recorded "Release Me" and the rest, as they say, is musical history.
Engelbert Humperdinck Fan Page is a work in progress. Expect to see photos — lots of photos! — and videos
and all kinds of fun things to explore. The site is still young; what you see now is just the tip of the Engelberg!

is strictly fan-generated.
