Welcome to Artists
& Music on Oldies
From this one page, you can catch up with hundreds of your favorite singers and bands from the
50s, 60s, and 70s.
(Special note to ARTISTS or ARTIST REPS: Should your page on
Oldies Connection have incorrect or incomplete info, please contact me. I am especially interested in adding Instagram and Google+ profile links to the pages of those artists who use that site. So if you have a brand page on IG or Google+, or official
MySpace, Facebook and/or Twitter profiles that were omitted from your page here, please let me know. Thank you!)
How to use this
Below are links for singers and groups who first became active during the 1950s,
1960s, or 1970s. They are listed by their first
names. Each of the links below goes to an artist
page right here on Oldies Connection; these in turn have links
to the artist's official site (if applicable), Wikipedia page, YouTube search results and/or official channel, and applicable social network pages
(MySpace, Facebook, Twitter). Not every
artist has a social network presence; some don't have official web sites either, even a few artists who are still making personal appearances (on the other hand, many artists who are deceased, or groups that have disbanded,
do have official web sites run by their corporations, record companies, or estates).
Some of the singers/groups
are cross-referenced with others and linked to associated acts. This index page can be returned to via a link at the bottom of each page,
or you can use your browser's "back" button. In addition, most of the pages feature graphic
links to the artist's music on Amazon.com (others have an Amazon
search box into which the artist name can be entered). Once on Amazon.com, you can read customer
reviews about songs and CDs, listen to sound samples, and, if desired, purchase
albums or individual tracks by your favorite artists. (The graphic links
on this site are for audio CDs, but MP3s can also be purchased
through these product pages.) If you like the artists, please support them by purchasing their music in whichever format
you prefer. And, if at all possible, please go to see their live shows!
Many of our favorite
singers/groups from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s
are still actively touring and recording, in some cases with the original lineups. And, many of them have been performing
for between 40-55 years (!) and could possibly be thinking about retiring from the road, so catch
'em while you can.
THIS PAGE IS STILL BEING
EXPANDED! If I've left out a group or artist that you'd like to see added to this
page, please contact me. Also, if any of the links are broken, or don't go where they say
they do, or I've neglected to add an official site or social network page for someone, please let me know that too.
Thank you, and enjoy your visit!
