Born Marie Ladagona in Newark, New Jersey, Donna Marie knew she wanted to be a singer from childhood; she recorded her first single at the age of thirteen.  In 1970, she auditioned for Jeff Barry, who was then producing The Archies, and found herself sitting in on the recording session for the group's upcoming single, "Who's Your Baby."  The rest is history ...
